Moira Rayner White

An editor, writer, teacher, project manager, and social policy analyst with more than 30 years of experience in communication and 20 years in print publication, Moira heads the English editorial and writing components of Ubiquitext Communications. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Policy and understands the government policy-making milieu. She has considerable experience recasting and editing the work of multiple authors, as well as expertise in conference publishing, notetaking, and report writing. She has travelled across Canada with government agencies and public consultations writing, editing, and producing reports. From 2000 to 2006 she worked in-house at a conference publishing firm, rising to the position of Managing Editor.

Moira teaches editing courses for government and corporate clients in Ottawa, Toronto, and Montréal. She is a Past President of the Editors’ Association of Canada (EAC) and a past chair of the National Capital Region of EAC. She has Secret clearance.

Marine Armstrong

A certified translator and writer whose work has been published in both English and French, Marine heads the translation and French writing components of Ubiquitext Communication. She has more than 20 years of experience in translation for the public and private sectors and has worked on and managed projects across Canada and Europe. In addition to many years of freelance work, she was Chief Translator for an Ottawa-based firm specializing in conference publishing for three years. For ten years, she taught university-level French-as-a-second-language in Birmingham (England), Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ottawa.

She holds a Licence de lettres modernes and Licence d’Anglais, traduction et littérature from Université de Toulouse le Mirail, Toulouse, France. Marine has also studied toward the Maîtrise en lettres françaises, University of Ottawa. She is a member of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario.
